GRAND ROUNDS: The first Department of Surgery Grand Rounds for the new academic year is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16th at 7:30am in Schwartz Lecture Hall E. Dr. Richard Karl, Chairman Emeritus of the Department of Surgery, Moffitt Cancer Center at the University of South Florida will present on "What can the Operating Room learn from the Cockpit." All surgical faculty and residents are strongly encouraged to attend. Please mark your calendars of this date and time.
CONGRATULATIONS to Dr. Harvey G. Moore who has been appointed Chair of the Young Researchers Committee of the Research Foundation, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, for a 3-year term ending in 2012.
SAVE THE DATE: The Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery presents the 46th V.H. Kazanjian Memorial Lecture on Wednesday, November 4th, 2009. Dr. Court Cutting will be the lecturer.
