MANDATORY CODE OF CONDUCT & HIPAA TRAINING - It is mandatory for all faculty members, officers, full-and part-time employees, students, and volunteers to complete this training by July 31, 2009. The two-part, on-line session consists of:

Code of Conduct (10-15 minute "open book" quiz on the Code) 

HIPAA Awareness (24 minute refresher on HIPAA Privacy and Security)

SURGICAL SKILLS LAB DESIGNATED AS ACS ACCREDITED EDUCATION INSTITUTE: The Surgical Skills Laboratory received ACS Level 1 Comprehensive Education Institute accreditation. This is the highest level of the ACS Accredited Education Institutes. There are only 18 in the United States. The goal of our Education Institute will be to focus on competencies and to specifically address teaching, learning and assessment of technical skills using simulation and state-of-the art educational methods. 

Thank you to Dr. Tom Diflo, Peggy Gluszak and the Education Committee team for doing all the hard work to get this accreditation.
