SUMMER STUDENT SURGICAL PROGRAM BEGINS MONDAY - Three rising first year NYU medical students will be joining the surgical service for our fourth Summer Surgical Program on Monday. Michael Cohen will be working with Dr. Keith Heller, Ramoncito David will work with Dr. Umut Sarpel and Jessie Yu is assigned to Dr. George Miller. In past years the program has helped to guide many NYU students into surgery. Please welcome our summer students. The program is coordinated by Dr. Hochberg.
GRAND ROUNDS: The next grand rounds is a Special Grand Rounds for the graduating chief residents tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 7:30 AM in Alumni Hall Classroom A. Dr. Daniel F. Roses, Jules Leonard Whitehill Professor of Surgery and Oncology will present on "Billroth and Brahms and the Rise of Modern Surgery". All Surgery Faculty and Residents are strongly encouraged to attend. The divisional conferences on June 16th are cancelled so that all faculty and residents can attend the Grand Rounds.
END OF YEAR PARTY: The end of the year party for our 2009 graduating Chief Residents and Fellows is tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16th at the Tribeca Rooftop located at 2 Desbrosses Street (between Hudson & Greenwich Street). The party will be from 7-11pm.
BREAST CASE CONFERENCE: Dr. Alan Stolier from Tulane University will present a talk on "Nipple-sparing mastectomy: Is it time?" at the Breast Case Conference this Wednesday, June 17th, 2009 at 7:45am. The location of Breast Case Conference is NYU Clinical Cancer Center 160 East 34th Street 11th floor. We look forward to seeing you all there. Breakfast will be provided.
