GRAND ROUNDS: The next Department of Surgery Grand Rounds is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21st at 7:30am in Smillow Seminar Room, 1st Floor. Dr. Jennifer B. Ogilvie will present on "The Adrenal Incidentaloma and Minimally Invasive Approaches to Adrenalectomy." All surgical faculty and residents are strongly encouraged to attend. Please mark your calendars of this date.

IN THE NEWS: Dr. Freya Schnabel appeared on Good Morning America Health with Dr. Tim Johnson to speak about issues related to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Dr. Freya Schnabel also appeared on WCBS-TV's Health Watch: Breast Cancer Study-by Dr. Max Gomez to discuss a study that shows breast cancer death rates are declining.

SAVE THE DATE- DEPARTMENT HOLIDAY PARTY: The Department's 2009 Holiday party will be held on Thursday, December 10th, 6:30- 10 pm at the Twenty Four Fifth, 5th avenue between 9th and 10th streets. Invitations will be sent out shortly.
