Who We Are: The New York University Plastic Surgery Residency Program is one of the most prestigious programs in the country with a world-renowned faculty. The Aesthetic Surgery Program was created to provide patients seeking cosmetic surgery a professional environment with highly-trained plastic surgery residents supervised by board-certified plastic surgeons at affordable rates.

What We Do: The center offers several types of surgical techniques including breast augmentation, breast reduction, facelift, eyelidplasty, browlift, rhinoplasty, chin implants, otoplasty, abdominoplasty, and liposuction. Non-invasive, non-surgical procedures are also offered for those patients who are not candidates for surgery. In addition to surgical and non-surgical procedures, the aesthetic surgery center offers other anti-aging techniques, using injections such as Botox, Restylane, Collagen, and Fat Injections. Our skin care options include Facial Peels, Laser Rejuvination, and Dermabrasion, as well as many other dermatologic anti-aging solutions.

How it Works: Consultations hours are on Thursday afternoons from 2:00p.m. to 5:00 p.m. At the initial consult, you will meet with the Chief Resident and the Attending Surgeon. You will be able to discuss the procedure(s) you desire and when a surgical plan is agreed upon, you will meet with the Program Coordinator to discuss fees and possible surgery dates. You will be referred to a medical photographer for professional photographs which must be taken prior to the surgery. After taking the photos, you will be contacted by the Coordinator who will confirm the date for surgery and possibly schedule another pre-operative visit to review the photographs (you will not be charged for this visit). You will be given pre-operative instructions at that time.

Fees: Fees for cosmetic surgery are to be paid by cash or credit card and are due two weeks prior to the procedure. The final fee represents a number of payments, and the fee schedule is structured as follows:

  1. Consultation Fee: The fee for a consultation is $100 and is due upon arrival for your appointment. If you schedule surgery, this will be applied as a discount to your ‘Procedure Fee’ portion of your bill.


  2. Anesthesia Fee: If your procedure requires anesthesia, this will be administered by a Board Certified Anesthiologist at NYU Langone Medical Center. The fee is based on the number of hours your procedure takes. At the time of your consultation, the Program Coordinator will be able to provide you with an estimated fee.


  3. Operating Room Fee: The charge for the Operating Room will depend on the type of procedure you are scheduling as well as how long the operation takes. The Program Coordinator will provide you with an estimate for this fee at the time of your consultation.


  4. Procedure Fee: There is a flat fee depending on the procedure(s) you schedule. The Program Coordinator will tell you what this flat fee is at the time of your consultation.


  5. Photography Fee: Every patient who is scheduling surgery MUST have photos taken before and after the procedures for their medical records. The fee for photos is $160 and includes pre-and post-op pictures. These must be taken at NYU and the Program Coordinator will assist you with scheduling.


  6. Other: There may be other charges associated with your surgery such as pre-admission testing (if required), implant charges, specialized post-operative garments, etc. The Program Coordinator will be able to tell you if any additional charges apply.
